Dialogue

Dialogue: An exchange of ideas or opinions on a particular issue, especially a political or religious issue, with a view to reaching an amicable agreement or settlement. (Websters.com)

You say you want dialogue, but you only want to hear one side. That’s not dialogue. That’s dangerous.

That’s hypocritical: A person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements. (Websters.com)

I couldn’t possibly make this stuff up.

Just curious if you're talking to someone specific...?

I would say that anyone who reads this and is offended...he's talking to YOU :) Just thought I would drop a Hello Laurence. Thanks for the break down of the terms. You know it's easy to make things sound the way we would like them to sound especially if it is in our favor. Our opinion always seems to be the "right" one and everyone that doesn't agree are wrong. You know what I call that? Non-teachable. I have went on for many years looking for people to agree with me when I'm wrong and the one's that didn't I excluded them from my life. I now believe that doing that only hurts later. One can learn a ton from someones thoughts or advice. God places certain people in our path and I believe HE uses them to glorify HIS name. I have to see things in a different light rather than exclude people. Now I will hear them out and ask that question WWJD in this situation. Does that person's opinion line up with the WORD or just their word. If one does that a whole lot of learning takes place. I know that Jesus would not exclude us in any kind of way. In fact, HE still loved all the ones who persecuted him daily. Are we like that? I would say that not many are. Jesus is there always to listen to us and correct us. But the awesome thing about it is HE does it all in LOVE.
Yes, that make HIM JESUS and us sinners but the WORD does say to be immitators of Christ..but still some choose to keep acting like the world.
Well with all that said I just want to say thanks for being the humble person you are. You have taken a lot from people when you created this blog and you still continue to love them. When I grow up I want to be just like you!

don't know it all: If I knew a little more about you, I might be more apt to answer. I'm glad you stopped by though. Feel free to share however you may be led.

r&vordonez: Your words, "Jesus is there always to listen to us and correct us" struck me. Man, that is so true! Even Jesus listens to us. He doesn't shut us down because we have questions.

Look in John 13 when Simon Peter debates with Christ about washing his feet. There's discussion. There's dialogue.

That's my point. We need to listen to each other. We need to learn from each other and grow in Him. It's a dangerous road when we shut each other out. Even opposing views should be explored.

Man, I love you guys! The Ordoñez family rocks!
